Design & Function

The JHF187 features a large rectangular base plate (85.5 × 87mm) with a deep recessed body that houses the internal locking mechanism completely out of sight. The folding latch arm pivots from the top edge of the base plate, folding down to engage with the receiver on the lid. The key cylinder is recessed into the base plate surface with a decorative ring surround, providing a positive key lock that prevents the latch from being opened without the correct key. The back of the base plate reveals the precision spring-loaded internal mechanism — a testament to the engineering quality within.
